World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), March 21st, is a global day of awareness which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012, and officially enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 2016. The date 3-21, represents the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which identifies Down syndrome. As a sign of support, people wear mismatched socks to show their awareness that differences are beautiful.

The DSAYR invites educators and all professionals to use the graphic materials on this page to celebrate in your schools and workplaces.
